Dear Parents
I would like to thank our staff for all their hard work and commitment to the children's development throughout the year.
Our learners have also worked very hard and we are proud of each and everyone of them. We are looking forward to celebrating them and their hard work at our Growing Minds Celebration on Monday 2 December at 9:00. Please join us to celebrate!
Grade One
The Grade Ones had a wonderful time on Monday visiting Giraffe House.
Blazers
In order to affirm our unique image, the College blazer from Grade 1 - 12 has changed. Current parents will have until the start of the Academic Year 2026, to replace the existing light blue blazer with the new royal blue, striped blazer. This fabric is unique to our College, and therefore distinguishes our learners from other schools who are wearing the same colour as our current blazer.
Every Grade One learner and all new learners joining the College are required to wear the striped blazer.
Parents are reminded that our blazers are an important part of the uniform which sets us apart from other schools. We therefore request that parents be particular about the condition of a blazer and if it is either faded or too small, it must be replaced.
2025 INFORMATION
Grade One to Three learners have a choice between Afrikaans FAL and isiXhosa FAL. Learners in Grade One will have the option to choose between Afrikaans FAL or isiXhosa FAL and learners in Grade Two and Three may either continue with Afrikaans FAL or change to isiXhosa FAL from 2024 onwards. If a selection has not been made, it will be assumed that the learner will attend Afrikaans as their First Additional Language.

Growing Minds Celebration
We are looking forward to our Growing Minds Celebration and seeing all our Parents there as every learner will receive a certificate. We are aiming for an hour but this event may be longer so please be aware of this. Learners may go home with their parents after the celebration should they wish to do so.

BIRTHDAY BOOKS
This week we celebrated birthdays that have been and others that are happening during the holiday period. Happy birthday and thank you to Saadhil for a brilliant holiday story, and we wish him every success at our secondary campus next year. Happy birthday and best wishes to Jordan who is relocating with her family. She has been a stalwart in the libraries over the years and an enthusiastic Lit Quiz team member. Happy birthday wishes to Lilly for today and thank you for the delightful Daddy Hairdo! We also wish Aiden and Adam a festive birthday in December and lots of lovely presents. Another set of twins, Beck and Nina, celebrated their birthdays yesterday. The Ten Minutes To Bed series is a great favourite, and the new search and find book is such a treat! And did you know that even dragons love Christmas? Thank you for these fantastic books!
